How much can I borrow against a Birkin?
Loan-to-value typically ranges from 25% to 75% of the appraised value. Size, leather, color, hardware and condition all affect it, and exotic skins and rare colors command the highest values. Loans range from $25,000 to $2 million.
Do I need the original receipt?
No. A specialist authenticates the bag on its construction, stamps and materials. A receipt and a full set of accessories can support a higher figure.
Can I borrow against a crocodile or alligator Birkin?
Yes. Exotic skins require the right documentation, and some carry shipping restrictions, so we confirm the paperwork before arranging collection.
Will I get the same bag back?
Yes. Stamps, hardware and condition are documented before storage and checked again at return. While a loan is open the record is locked, so the bag cannot be sold, swapped or pledged twice.
Do you check my credit?
No. The decision is based on the bag, not your credit history or income.
Is the loan non-recourse?
Non-recourse terms are available on qualifying loans, meaning the bag is the lender’s only remedy. Your term sheet states plainly whether your loan is non-recourse.
Can I repay early?
Yes. Generally, there is no prepayment penalty. Repay at any time and your bag is returned or stored with its record intact, ready if you want to borrow again.
