Prints We Lend Against
Don’t see your print? Tell us about it — significant pieces are reviewed case by case.
Edition, impression, condition.
With prints, the details decide the value: which edition, which impression, signed or not, and the state of the paper. The record documents each one before storage and stays with the work.
Each print is matched to its catalogue raisonné entry for edition size, medium and dimensions.
Signature, edition number and any publisher blindstamp or chop are photographed.
Paper, margins, toning and any foxing or fading are noted in a condition report.
Framing and glazing are documented, since conservation framing protects value.
Verify once. Borrow when you choose.
Send photos of the front, back, signature and any gallery or exhibition labels, plus invoices, certificates and catalogue raisonné references.
An independent credentialed appraiser values the work and reviews its authenticity, provenance and condition. Appraisal is billed at cost.
White-glove art handling and insured transport to a leading fine-art storage facility. Your artwork is insured at full replacement value from the moment it leaves your hands.
Receive a confidential, no-obligation term sheet. Repay at any time and your artwork is returned or stored with its record intact.
Prints & Editions Loan FAQ
How much can I borrow against a print?
Loan-to-value typically ranges from 25% to 75% of the appraised fair market value, based on recent auction results for the same print. Loans range from $25,000 to $2 million.
Can I combine several prints into one loan?
Yes. Portfolios and groups of prints can be assessed together to reach our $25,000 minimum.
Do unsigned prints qualify?
Some do, but signed and numbered impressions are valued far higher. Unsigned and posthumous impressions are reviewed case by case.
Will my print be reframed?
No. Your print stays in its current frame unless you ask otherwise. Any conservation concerns are noted in the condition report.
Do you check my credit?
No. The decision is based on the artwork, not your credit history or income.
Is the loan non-recourse?
Non-recourse terms are available on qualifying loans, meaning the artwork is the lender’s only remedy. Your term sheet states plainly whether your loan is non-recourse.
Can I repay early?
Yes. Generally, there is no prepayment penalty. Repay at any time and your artwork is returned or stored with its record intact, ready if you want to borrow again.
Keep the work. Use its value.
NON-FUGAZI is invitation-only. Tell us what you own and we'll respond confidentially with next steps.
